Network Courier and Commodity Logistics Merge to Form Network Global Logistics
Organization Offers Logistics Industry a Unique Combination of Supply Chain and Transportation Resources
Los Angeles, CA – March 19, 2007: Network Courier, one of the largest same day shipping companies in the United States, has announced its merger with Commodity Logistics Inc. (CLI), a leading, national supply chain and warehousing services organization based in Lockbourne, Ohio. The newly formed organization is named Network Global Logistics. Both companies involved in the merger are privately held.
The merger combines Network Courier’s core strengths in same day/next flight out services and CLI’s standard-setting integrated warehousing and logistics services. Network Global Logistics (NGL) now provides a complete supply chain solution from shipping raw materials to full e-commerce fulfillment.
“On a strategic level, we feel that the merger has created an opportunity to redefine expectations and service levels throughout the logistics industry,” said Raymond Garcia, chief executive officer of NGL. “This is a very logical next step for both organizations that further improves our growth profile, and creates substantial value for partners and investors. Most importantly, the merger benefits customers through service integration and expanded capabilities. We have created a powerful leader in the logistics industry that can develop and implement innovative solutions across the broad spectrum of the global supply chain."
The merger significantly enhances the combined company’s financial, technical, network, and collaborative resources to accelerate the implementation of new and improved services for customers.
Management of NGL comprises executives from both organizations. This includes Raymond Garcia, who serves as chief executive officer of NGL; Raymond Pickering who serves as President, NGL Supply Chain Services; and Scott Teter who serves as President, NGL Express Services.
