Network Global Logistics Offers World-Class Transportation Management Solution
Broomfield, CO – July 13, 2009: Network Global Logistics (NGL), a premier provider of supply chain, logistics and mission-critical transportation, has expanded its service capabilities to include transportation management.
Through this new service, NGL provides support for a wide array of transportation capabilities spanning all modes of transportation, from parcel freight management, to LTL and truckload shipments, intermodal, and global air freight. Both standardized and specialized equipment are available to serve customers from all industries.
“With over 38 years’ experience handling same day air and same day local mission-critical transportation for our clients, with on time performance averaging 99.6%, it was a natural fit for us to broaden our services to include a complete suite of freight management solutions,” stated Paul Anderson, Director of Transportation Management for NGL, “With our extensive network of warehousing and distribution centers throughout North America and the associated transportation spend that goes along with those centers, it made a lot of sense to pool our spend to insure that we had the best providers at competitive prices in each market around the country. When you think about warehousing, transportation is always a part of it. We wanted to insure that we could bring value to our customers in this area, as well. After all, every product in our DC’s needs to be shipped in, and we process thousands of outbound orders being shipped all over the country each week.”
NGL’s transportation management solution is powered by its state-of-the-art transportation management system. The system allows customers to receive quotes, enter shipments, and track and trace in real time – all online. The system also proactively monitors shipments, providing status notification of issues that arise during key points in the shipping process.
“The value of the system is that it allows our customers to use the best method of transportation on each order. Today they may need a short transit time; tomorrow they may need a better price on an order. The system gives them options to suit their specific needs each day, all while keeping track of each order to insure it’s delivered on time and on budget.“ Anderson added.
In addition to its Transportation Management services, NGL offers a full suite of supply chain solutions, including warehousing, distribution, service parts logistics, manufacturing support services, ecommerce order fulfillment, and mission-critical transportation solutions (same day air transportation and same day local courier). NGL manages 13 regional distribution centers throughout North America and an additional network of over 450 strategic stocking locations worldwide.
